Indiana National Guard announces notification system

The Indiana National Guard launched a new notification system so that the command team can rapidly notify its soldiers, airmen and civilian employees of command messages, career opportunities, healthcare benefits, education benefits and incentives, and finally, family-related programs for spouses and beneficiaries.

"I am excited to launch this efficient and all-inclusive notification system," said Maj. Gen. Dale Lyles, Indiana National Guard adjutant general. "With our people first strategy, we now have the tools in place to communicate directly to our people - the soldiers, airmen and civilian employees who make up our organization.”

Notifications, scheduled for one per week, will be scaled to ensure the right audience receives the right notifications, while still maintaining unit integrity within the Army and Air National Guard.

This notification system will complement the communication suite already used by the National Guard consisting of Facebook, Instragram, Twitter, YouTube and the Indiana National Guard mobile application.

All service members and civilian employees will be automatically enrolled into the system and will have the option to not receive notifications.

For Hoosier Guardsmen and their families, staying informed has never been easier, and more information can be found at this link:
