The Indiana National Guard’s Soldier and Family Center provides support to soldiers and military families for a full range of situations and problems that may arise in conjunction with military deployments or in the course of the member’s service. We also provide services for veterans and for members of any branch of service.

We provide deployment and reunion briefings for all mobilizing units, and act as a one-stop shop for families looking for current, accurate information. Our Soldier and Family Readiness specialists conduct wellness calls to family members every 30 days during deployments to ensure that all family needs are being met. With 16 locations across the state of Indiana, our goal is to have 100 percent contact with every family through active outreach during a deployment.

About: What is a Soldier and Family Readiness Center?

  • Soldier and Family Readiness Centers (SFRCs) are considered a one-stop shop for service members, veterans and their families.
  • SFRCs are among the first places the military family should turn to for advice and assistance.
  • SFRCs are established in times of normal operations, contingency call-ups, mobilizations and large-scale deployment to provide support and assistance to service members and their families.
  • SFRCs are intended to simplify the process of accessing needed services and support.
  • SFRCs fill the void for military families, connecting you with services or aid regardless of status, service component or geographical location of the military installation.
  • SFRCs are the hub between the service member, veteran, and their families to the rest of their communities.
  • SFRCs provide unit commanders and their liaisons with trained and equipped civilian volunteers who are prepared to lead and facilitate Soldier and Family Readiness groups.
  • SFRCs ensure that the service members, veterans and family units are postured with programs that enhance and benefit their quality of life.
