The Indiana National Guard works to defend, protect and secure our communities. Our Guardsmen, who live and work at units and armories across the state, are often first responders in times of domestic crisis. We also provide community support for events and funeral honors, collaborate with state partners to create and build economic development opportunities in Indiana, and work in your communities to ensure our youth have access to educational resources that lead to productive career paths.
The Indiana National Guard maintains 60 armories in communities across the state that are available to rent for public and private events, such as receptions, craft shows, graduations and sporting events. More
The Indiana National Guard supports events across the state that help bring Hoosiers closer to the military personnel who serve in their communities. The public may request a military band, funeral honors, marching units, static displays or speakers. All of the events we participate in must be nonpartisan, open and accessible to the public, and may not raise funds for any purpose. Our support is based upon the availability of our resources and mission requirements. More
The Military Department of Indiana Ceremonial Unit provides military honors at funeral services for active or retired members of the Indiana National Guard. The Ceremonial Unit also supports other public and military events, including ceremonies, parades, sporting events and flag raising, and will provide anthem singers to events upon request. More
The Indiana National Guard’s Strategic Initiatives and Business Transformation Office engages with public-sector partners and the private sector to explore, implement and promote opportunities to foster innovation that will enable the organization and America’s military to compete and win in an ever-changing technological environment.
