Mission Statement
Soldiers with the 38th Sustainment Brigade use wooden pointer to point at locations on a large area map during annual training at Camp Dodge, Iowa.

The 38th Sustainment Brigade provides command and control for all units and provides sustainment in an area of operations as defined by the higher sustainment command. 

In deployment the 38th Sustainment Brigade plans and executes theater opening, distribution, sustainment, reception, staging, and onward movement of military forces in full spectrum operations as directed by the expeditionary or theater sustainment command. State or nation-side, the 38th Sustainment Brigade alerts, assembles, and conducts support operations to civil authorities for homeland defense or disaster relief.

Soldier stands agains the sunrise holding memorial flag from Bataan Death MarchTwo Indiana National Guard teams participated in the 26.2-mile Bataan Memorial Death March in New Mexico, Sunday, March 25, both in the light category. They placed first and second among all National Guard light teams. This memorial march, held annually for the past 23 years, honors the men who survived the death march in the Philippines during World War II. This year 16 survivors attended the march, having survived their capture by enemy forces nearly seventy years ago.
