Civilian employers of Indiana Reservists and National Guardsmen visited the U.S. Coast Guard Mackinaw in February 2013. The visit, known as a Boss Lift, was coordinated by Indiana’s Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve program. The ESGR coordinates Boss Lifts, operational visits to provide civilian employers an up-close look at defense personnel in action. Photo by Staff Sgt. First Lady presents donation to National Guard Relief Fund

Indiana's First Lady Karen Pence presented Kelly Newman of the Indiana National Guard Relief Fund and Maj. Gen. R. Martin Umbarger, adjutant general of the Indiana National Guard and Soldiers of the Indiana National Guard a $100,000 check to support the Indiana National Guard Relief Fund.Indiana First Lady Karen Pence presented Indiana National Guard Relief Fund a $100,000 check to support the Indiana sevice members in need.
